October Student Count Day is on Thursday, October 1st. Our school receives state funding based on the number of students present on October 1st. One student in attendance on October 1st translates to more than $11,000 in state funding. Please ensure your student attends school on Thursday, October 1st, so we receive our full state funding.

This week, families of students who took the CMAS assessment in spring 2026 will receive their student's score reports in the mail or in Friday Folders. In addition, the Colorado Department of Education (CDE) now gives legal guardians electronic access to individual score reports through CDE’s Family Portal.

The Weld RE-4 School District Special Education Advisory Committee is hosting a Resource Fair on September 10th from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. at Windsor High School. Join us for a night of connections and conversations!

Windsor Charter Academy families have two chances this month to support the HS Boys' Golf Team while enjoying a night off from cooking! On Thursday, September 3rd, and again on Wednesday, September 9th, beginning at 5:00 p.m., Parry's Pizzeria in Johnstown will donate 20% of every ticket to the golf team.

Give back to our school just by shopping for groceries and gas! Windsor Charter Academy has partnered with the King Soopers Community Rewards Program to help raise money for our school. Participation is free!

The Math Department is pleased to invite our students to participate in our Math Tutoring Program! This program is open to all Windsor Charter Academy students. Our team will pair each student with a trained high school tutor within two weeks of registration.

As many of you know, our school community recently lost Evan Cole, a tenth-grade student at our high school. Evan’s family has given us permission to share his information and details regarding his memorial service with our school community.

The WCA High School Student Council is selling Firebird sweatshirts, with proceeds going directly to the WCA High School Student Council! Sweatshirts are available for purchase in the high school office.

Each year, Windsor Charter Academy proudly awards the Share the Light Firebird Scholarship to deserving graduating seniors who have made a meaningful impact on our school community. Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time.
