The Windsor Charter Academy Election Committee seeks candidates to fill two positions on our Executive Board. The Election Committee is currently accepting applications from potential candidates.

We are currently enrolling students for the 2026–2027 school year, and many families have not yet completed the WCA Returning Student Survey. If you haven’t already, please complete your child’s enrollment information.

We would like to extend a sincere thank-you to Rock Orthodontics for their generous support of Windsor Charter Academy and their commitment to caring for our staff! Rock Orthodontics graciously provided a financial donation to each of our schools, enabling us to treat our teachers to a well-deserved meal.

On Friday, January 23rd, our area is expected to have temperatures below freezing. When the temperature or wind chill is below 17 degrees and/or there is heavy precipitation, students will be dropped off in the morning at their usual location.

Windsor Charter Academy is doing an all-school fundraiser for the Make-A-Wish Foundation! Families are invited to purchase a Candy Gram, which includes a sucker and a personalized note, for students, friends, or teachers. Candy Grams are $1 each. All proceeds will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

We are in the process of enrolling our students for the 2026-2027 school year! We are asking each family to fill out their child's enrollment information online. It is of utmost importance that we receive this information so we have up-to-date contact details for our students and their families.

At the December 17th Executive Board Meeting, Anna Brandley resigned her position as an Executive Board Member. To fill the vacancy, the Executive Board will accept applications from potential candidates interested in a Board appointment. 

We want to share an important update regarding school tomorrow. Due to the forecasted significant winds and the potential for widespread power outages, all Windsor Charter Academy schools—elementary, middle, and high school—will have an early release on Wednesday, December 17, 2025.

The holiday season is here, and so are our annual preparations for the 12 Days of Christmas! Throughout December, our administration and PTC teams at each school will celebrate the final 12 days of the semester.

The Windsor Charter Academy Boys’ and Girls’ Basketball programs are dedicated to developing strong athletes and strong leaders who represent our school with pride, discipline, and integrity—on and off the court. To continue providing high-quality opportunities for our players, we’re launching a fundraising initiative to support our teams.

We are thrilled to share that Firebird spirit wear is now available for purchase at King Soopers and will be available at Walgreens in the coming weeks! Families can shop a growing selection of Firebird gear, including shirts, sweatshirts, socks, hats, water bottles, and more.

The Town of Windsor advised Windsor Charter Academy of upcoming work on Garden Drive near the railroad tracks. Starting next week, during our Fall Break, the medians in that area will be replaced. The project is expected to extend a few days into the first week of December.

Windsor Charter Academy is giving families an opportunity to donate gifts to those in need this holiday season! From November 17th through December 18th, a Giving Tree will be placed in the front office of each school, featuring gift tags with various donation ideas.

Windsor Charter Academy Middle School Theatre is proud to present its production of Frozen, Junior—a story of two royal sisters, whose close bond is tested when Elsa’s powerful magic is revealed. Join us on the journey with Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, and the ever-optimistic snowman, Olaf!

On Monday, November 17th, we will begin enrolling students for the 2026-2027 school year. New incoming siblings of current WCA students and new incoming children or grandchildren of staff members will be among the first to be eligible to enroll.

Voters passed Propositions MM and LL in the recent election, which allows the Healthy School Meals for All program to raise and retain additional funding. This means there will be no changes to our breakfast and lunch program this school year.
