Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time. In addition, these assessments measure students’ critical thinking skills, which are needed for success in school and in life.
Standardized test scores are frequently used to determine placement in advanced courses/programs and to identify students’ instructional needs. All testing data will help inform teachers as they work with students to prepare them for the next school year.
All students in grades 3-8 will take the CMAS math and English Language Arts (ELA) assessments.
All students in grade 7 will take the CMAS social studies assessment.
All students in grades 5, 8, and 11 will take the CMAS science assessment.
To ensure students take each test, please make every effort to schedule appointments outside of these testing windows. In addition, visitors will not be permitted to enter the testing environment during the testing time slot. More specific testing times for each grade level will be sent out at a later date.
Testing Dates:
Elementary School: April 7th - 24th
