Volunteering at Windsor Charter Academy
Windsor Charter Academy's culture is rooted in parent involvement! As a reminder, each family has a 35-hour annual service commitment. Volunteer hours can be completed by any person you wish. Grandparents, relatives, or friends can earn volunteer hours on behalf of your family!
Log Volunteer Hours
All volunteer hours can be tracked in ParentSquare. Logging hours is simpler than ever!
Log Hours Using the ParentSquare App
Navigate to the ParentSquare app on your phone and log in.
Select your child's school in the top menu.
Click "More" in the lower right menu.
Scroll down to select "Volunteer Hours."
Press the "+" button.
Select the month, activity, and amount of time volunteered.
Click "Save."
Log Hours Using a Web Browser
Navigate to ParentSquare.com and login.
Select your child's school in the upper left menu.
Click "Participate" and then "Volunteer Hours" in the left menu.
Select the month, activity, and amount of time volunteered.
Click "Save."
Don't forget to log your volunteer hours! This system tracks all hours, and volunteer recognition and awards are based on the entries recorded in ParentSquare. In addition, if you plan to run for the Executive Board, this software will be used to verify all school-related volunteer hours.
Remember, grandparents, aunts, uncles, or friends can help fulfill your family's service hours. Use your ParentSquare account to log their hours so your family receives full credit!
If you have any questions, please email Mrs. Sanders, Director of Communications. We appreciate your commitment to serving in our schools!
Volunteer Hour Donation
Did you know a monetary donation can count toward your volunteer hours? Every $12 counts toward one volunteer hour. In other words, a one-time $420 donation would cover your family's 35 volunteer hours for the year. There is a 2-step process to donate funds to cover volunteer hours.
Step 1: Donate
Donations can be made in several ways. Any financial contribution to the school—such as buying items for classroom parties or providing food for a sports banquet—can count as a donation. Families may also make a general donation to support the school by making a donation below.
Step 2: Log Your Donated Hours
After you make a donation, access your ParentSquare account. When logging your volunteer hours, select "monetary donation." Every $12 donated equates to 1 hour. For example, if you made a $120 donation, enter 10 hours.
We appreciate you making a difference for our students and teachers!
