On Tuesday, March 17th, students are welcome to celebrate St Patrick’s Day by wearing green! Students may wear green or a St. Patrick's Day top with normal dress code bottoms (not jeans). In addition, St. Patrick’s Day shirts must adhere to dress code guidelines.

We are currently seeking a coach for our Intramural Soccer Program! This club is open to 4th- and 5th-grade students and will run every Monday and Wednesday from April 1st through April 29th (no session on April 27th), from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m., at the elementary school field.

On Wednesday, March 4th, we invite students and staff to come to school dressed as their favorite book character! Please join in on the festivities by dressing as a true book character. Students should be able to name the book in which their character appears.

First-grade students have been learning about Mexican culture as part of their unit on modern civilizations! On February 20th, parents are invited to join us for our classroom celebrations from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m.

It’s time for our Science Fair! Fifth-grade students will be presenting Science Fair projects on Friday, February 27th. Guests are invited to view the displays from 8:40 to 9:10 a.m. in the elementary school cafeteria.

The 5th Grade Changing Bodies Class will be offered March 16th through 20th from 2:10 to 3:00 p.m. each day. This class helps both boys and girls understand the physical and emotional changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge these changes as a normal part of growth and development. 

As a reminder, the school bell rings at 8:00 a.m. Students arriving after 8:00 a.m. will be considered tardy.

Fifth graders and their families are invited to join us for a special 5th-Grade Night at our middle school girls’ basketball game! This is a fun opportunity to cheer on our Firebirds and get a glimpse of what middle school life is all about.

The elementary school will be selling made-from-scratch brownies for $1.00 during lunch on Friday, January 23rd. Students are asked to bring cash!

We are excited to celebrate Valentine's Day with our students! Students can wear red and pink on Thursday, February 12th, to celebrate Valentine's Day.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in classrooms from February 2nd  through February 12th. Teachers will create sign-up forms and share them with parents. The spring conferences are optional to attend, except for students with any of the following concerns: D’s or F’s in reading, writing, or math, READ Plans, SST, or behavior concerns.

Windsor Charter Academy is proud to offer our elementary students a variety of extracurricular activities! Registration is now open for Art Club and Fitness Club. We are excited to engage our students in these enrichment programs!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for our 2nd quarter will be held on Friday, January 30th, at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Doors will open at 8:10 a.m. Families of students who earned Honor Roll recognition will receive an email invitation to the assembly. 

Our 3rd-grade students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Investigating Forces unit! On January 23rd, families are invited to join us for our classroom celebrations from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. Students will investigate how physical forces affect everyday objects.

Second-grade students have been learning about famous Americans as part of the Core Knowledge unit! Students will share their bobblehead creations and an informational paragraph on the famous Americans they were assigned.

The Town of Windsor Parks, Recreation, and Culture Department is hosting a Winter Basketball Camp for elementary- and middle-school students! As community partners, Windsor Charter Academy invites our families to participate in this event.

On Tuesday, January 27th, all students need to wear their formal dress uniform for class pictures. Our elementary school formal dress uniform consists of blue bottoms, a white dress shirt, and a school tie.
