Halloween Parade & Parties

Our elementary school classes will celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 29th, and we are excited to welcome families to campus for the parade and classroom parties. Below is everything you need to plan your afternoon!

Agenda

  • 12:15 to 12:45 p.m.: Set-up volunteers check in at the east doors.

  • 1:00 p.m.: Guests with a completed background check enter through the northeast gate.

  • 1:15 p.m.: Guests line up for the parade.

  • 1:30 p.m.: The parade begins.

  • 2:00 p.m.: Classroom celebrations begin for 1st–5th grade.

Halloween Costumes

Students are welcome to come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes! Costumes should not include weapons of any kind, including toy weapons, or excessive face paint such as blood or gore. Masks are not permitted during the school day, but students may wear them for the parade and classroom parties.

Background Checks

All guests must complete a background check at least 48 hours before the event. Guests who have not completed one by then must enter through the front office with a photo ID. Details on the process can be found on our Background Check & Fast Passes webpage.

Halloween Parade

At the northeast gate, separate lines will be available for Fast Pass holders and all other guests. Please have your photo ID ready. Cones will mark a designated walkway for students, and we ask that guests stay off the path. To keep the parade moving smoothly and safely, please cheer from the sidelines rather than offering high fives or other contact.

Classroom Celebrations

After the parade, we invite families to join the 1st–5th grade classroom parties! A wristband is required to enter the building. Kindergarten classes will not hold parties that afternoon, since each class has already enjoyed its own Spooky Celebration.

Volunteers & Lunch Guests

Set-Up Volunteers

Set-up volunteers should check in at the east doors during the window listed in the agenda. Volunteers who arrive after 12:45 p.m. will not be able to enter classrooms until after the parade.

Lunch Visits & Morning Volunteering

Due to the full schedule, we ask that families not visit for lunch or volunteer in the morning on October 29th. We hope you will join us in the afternoon instead!

Checking Students Out Early

If you plan to take your student home early, pick up an early dismissal slip from your child’s classroom teacher and hand it to a staff member at the exit as you leave.

Parking

Out of respect for our neighboring businesses, please park in one of our three school lots or the church parking lot. Do not park at Timberline Gymnastics or in any Future Legends lot, as vehicles parked there may be towed. If you park on Garden Drive, Diamond Valley East, or Academy Court, please move your vehicle by 2:45 p.m. to keep the pickup route clear.
