We are pleased to welcome a few new faces to our high school team! We are excited to have each of these individuals join our Firebird Family to support our students.
Rachel Preece - High School Assistant Principal: Mrs. Preece has worked at Windsor Charter Academy for over sixteen years. She has served as an Instructional Coach and taught middle and high school English and science. She has also served as an elementary school teacher and math interventionist. Mrs. Preece holds a master’s degree in Educational Leadership. As a parent of students at Windsor Charter Academy, she has a deep love for our school!
Jeff Slade – HS Spanish Teacher: Mr. Slade brings valuable experience from Windsor High School, where he previously taught Spanish, business, and computer science. Mr. Slade holds a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Brigham Young University and an MBA from Regis University.
Sean Engelfried - HS PE Teacher: Mr. Engelfried has served as a varsity coach and paraprofessional at Windsor Charter Academy for the past year, and he is already a familiar and valued member of our Firebird community! Mr. Engelfried graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in sports management. He brings classroom experience, as well as coaching experience in cross country, track and field, soccer, basketball, and football.
Megan Penfold – HS Receptionist: Mrs. Penfold has joined us as a full-time receptionist and will be welcoming students, families, and athletes at the front desk of the Firebird Facility. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Communications from the University of Illinois–Springfield. Many of you may also know Mrs. Penfold as our dynamic middle school girls’ volleyball coach, leading the team to a league championship this season!
Brayden Kelly – HS Paraprofessional: Mr. Kelly is a familiar face at Windsor Charter Academy as a proud alum. He has also previously served as a paraprofessional with our school. Mr. Kelly is currently pursuing a degree in computer science at Brigham Young University – Idaho. We are thrilled to welcome him back to our community!
