Due to popular demand, Windsor Charter Academy is hosting two more sessions of the seminar entitled “The Impact of Social Media on Youth.” The seminar explores how social media influences young people’s mental health, social interactions, and behavior. Providing statistics from the best-selling book The Anxious Generation, this presentation examines how social media affects age groups and genders differently. Participants will learn about social tuning, cyberbullying, and addiction. In addition, participants will walk away with insights and practical strategies to foster a healthy digital environment.
There will be two opportunities to attend this event:
Wednesday, September 3rd, from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the MS/HS Media Center
Thursday, September 11th, from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. in the Firebird Facility Conference Room (Seating is limited to the first 18 registrants)
Both seminars are free, but advanced registration is required. We look forward to seeing you there!
*The content of this presentation is geared toward adults. Students are welcome to attend with a parent, but please note that there could be sensitive topics discussed, such as pornography addiction.
