Most importantly, Payson brings a positive energy that puts a smile on everyone's face. He brightens up each class with his kindness. Amazing job, Payson!"

Lola S., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! Her teachers shared, "Lola was nominated as a phenomenal Firebird in 6th grade this quarter. She has worked tirelessly to develop her academic skills the entire year. Lola asks creative questions, builds community, and has high integrity. Jocelyn., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! Her teachers shared, "Jocelyn has done fantastic work academically all year, but especially in the past quarter. I am deeply impressed by the ‘Commitment,’ focus, and ‘Ownership’ evident in her academic success. She works so hard and always has good thoughts to contribute in class. She's an incredible leader and a great example. Thank you for your hard work this quarter, Jocelyn!"

Charlotte W., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! Her teachers shared, "If you want to know what 'giving your best effort' actually looks like, you just have to look at Charlotte. Charlotte is the definition of a silent leader. She is the student who is always focused, always supportive, and always kind. What we admire most about Charlotte is her humility. She works until she is proud of what she has accomplished, but she'll never tell you how good she is. Instead, she just shows you, over and over again. She never rushes any assignment just to get it done. This is not just for one of her classes; she does this in every class. When it comes to improving any skill, she is methodical and intentional. She keeps at it until she has achieved her goal. Congratulations on being our 3rd Quarter Firebird on Fire!"

Lincoln T., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird on Fire Award winner! His teachers shared, "Lincoln has worked really hard to improve both his behavior and grades this quarter. He has exemplified The 8 Keys of Excellence, including ‘Commitment’ and ‘This Is It!’. Lincoln has been focused and consistent in class, while still keeping his sense of humor. He takes ‘Ownership’ and consistently tries to improve. The 8th-grade team is so proud of you, Lincoln. Keep up the good work and congratulations!"
