Friday Firebird Awards

Each week, our teachers nominate one student from each grade level to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The 8 Keys of Excellence!

Trenton D., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Weisgerber shared, "Trenton is receiving this award for his commitment to learning and growing in math. He has worked hard at math this year and never ever gives up! He advocates for himself by asking clarifying questions and does not get frustrated when he makes a mistake. He always has such a great attitude and a smile on his face. I feel so fortunate to have been his teacher twice, once in third grade and again in sixth grade. It has been so much fun watching him grow. Way to go, Trenton!

Riley M., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Keenan shared, "Riley shows the ‘This Is It!’ key of excellence every day. He has challenged himself all year and continues to make the most of every day. This year, he has completed over 150 iXL assignments and created an amazing math notebook. He took on the challenge of skipping a year in math and, with a lot of hard work, has been very successful. He also does all this with a smile. Congratulations, Riley!"

Grayson V., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Bradford shared, "Greyson is happy, energetic, and always willing to get work done. She has shown great improvement in her confidence and overall math understanding. I am very proud of her efforts this year. Congratulations, Lily!"
