Firebird Award Winners

Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!

Jack P., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. Miller shared, "Jack is focused, hard-working, and curious, showing a true ‘This Is It’ mindset and ‘Commitment’ in science by staying positive and engaged—even when the work gets tough. We are proud to have you as Firebird, Jack!"


Willa C., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Moralez shared, "Willa is an incredibly hard worker. She writes amazing stories and continues to challenge herself in her classes. She is usually the first to help others while getting her own work done, which shows a ‘This Is It!’ mentality. Good job, Willa!"


Sidney B., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Becker shared, "Sidney demonstrates ‘This Is It’ by always being on task, staying focused, and trying her best on every assignment. She consistently makes eye contact and is on the correct page in Amplify. She helps her peers and is always kind. Keep it up, Sidney!"


Addi R, an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Antal shared, "Addi always shows up to class with a great attitude, works hard, and is willing to help others. Thank you for making our class a better place, Addi! "


Layla R., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. Mancina shared, "Layla consistently works hard, supports her peers, and brings thoughtful curiosity to the science classroom. She adds positively to discussions by asking great questions and engaging deeply in the learning. Layla demonstrates strong leadership through her curiosity and collaboration in science. Way to go, Layla!"


Lincoln T., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mx. Madigent shared, "During the accidental alarm, Lincoln was one of the first in motion to take steps to do what we needed to prepare the classroom for a possible emergency. His quick reaction and serious focus on the situation demonstrated his commitment to keeping our school safe and his willingness to prove “This Is It” when it matters most. Thank you, Lincoln, for showing that you can be trusted under difficult circumstances!”
