Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Mason M., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. Cramer shared, "Demonstrating exceptional ‘Balance,’ Mason seamlessly manages both academic achievement and athletic participation. He is taking care of his schoolwork and surviving 6 a.m. practice! Furthermore, he ‘Speaks With Good Purpose’ and shows ‘Integrity’ by actively looking out for and uplifting the members of his advisory class. Keep up the great work, Mason!"
Mason S., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. Cramer shared, "Mason demonstrates ‘Commitment’ to his artistic growth. He approaches every project with diligence, ensuring his work is complete, thorough, and aligned with all rubric expectations. Additionally, he embraces constructive feedback from his peers and thoughtfully incorporates their insights to elevate his artwork. In just one quarter, he has grown as an artist. We are so happy to have him join our Firebird Family. Congratulations, Mason!"
Lilly H., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. Cramer shared, "Lilly seamlessly exemplifies both ‘Balance’ and ‘Speaking with Good Purpose.’ Juggling top-notch performance in her academics, cross country, and her role as a Student Ambassador is no small feat, yet she makes it look easy. True to the principle that ‘Speaking With Good Purpose’ is shown through actions as well as words, she consistently supports her family, friends, and peers with incredible strength and grace. Thank you for all you do for our Firebird Family, Lilly!"
Josh W., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Moralez shared, "Josh is an artist whose talent is matched by his humility, dedication, and willingness to grow. He demonstrates an impressive ability to observe, create, and communicate ideas through art, consistently producing work that shows both skill and thoughtful artistic choices. What makes Josh truly stand out is that he never seeks attention for his abilities. Josh approaches his work with quiet confidence, remains open to feedback, and is genuinely willing to learn from others. Way to go, Josh!"
Riley F., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Moralez shared, "Riley is a talented artist. Her artistic talent, curiosity, perseverance, and humility make her an outstanding example of what it means to be an artist. She elevates the art classroom through both the quality of her work and the character she demonstrates every day. Riley was an easy pick for the Firebird Award!"
Asher B., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Moralez shared, "Asher has grown significantly, not only in his artistic skills but also in his confidence, independence, and willingness to challenge himself. When faced with something difficult, he keeps working instead of giving up, and his progress reflects that persistence. He has been inspiring to watch, and I am excited to see how much further he’ll grow in art this year. Well done, Asher!"
