Each week, our teachers nominate one student from each grade level to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Ayla I., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her classmate, Leila S., nominated her for the Friday Firebird Award. Leila shared, "Ayla has been nominated for this award by demonstrating ‘Commitment’ and a ‘This Is It!’ attitude. She shows ‘Commitment’ by staying on task and helping others with their work. Ayla demonstrates ‘This Is It!’ by always having a positive attitude. She is constantly focused and smiling. Thank you for always brightening my day. Congratulations, Ayla!"
Kinsley S., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her classmate, Skyler F., nominated her for the Friday Firebird Award. Skyler shared, "Kinsley willingly shows ‘Commitment’ and ‘Flexibility’ every day. She is a leader in every class she is in. She is always willing to help study for tests or homework. She always has a smile on her face and is confident anywhere she goes. Awesome job, Kinsley!"
Everi R., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her classmate, Stella O., nominated her for the Friday Firebird Award. Stella shared, "Everi is a positive influence on her peers. She is kind and respectful to everyone, able to work with all of her peers, and makes the most of any situation. She is always in a good mood, is funny, and stays positive in tough situations. She makes sure everyone feels like they belong. We are so lucky to have a student like her! Congratulations, Everi!"
Kendall O., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her classmate, Harper D., nominated her for the Friday Firebird Award. Harper shared, "Kendall shows ‘Balance’ with playing volleyball and keeping up with school. She always shows ‘This Is It!’ and ‘Commitment’ during class, and she is welcoming and kind to everyone. Great job, Kendall!"
Christopher S., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! His classmate, Sawyer H., nominated him for the Friday Firebird Award. Sawyer shared, "Christopher always shows ‘Integrity,’ ‘Ownership,’ and ‘This Is It!’. Christopher shows ‘This Is It!’ by cleaning his table group’s mess after they all leave. He shows ‘Integrity’ by including everyone else's ideas in the project and standing up for what he thinks is right. Finally, he shows ‘Ownership’ by owning up to his mistakes. Thank you for working so hard, Christopher!"
Rae M., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her classmate, Kaelyn H., nominated her for the Friday Firebird Award. Kaelyn shared, "Rae is a kind and funny person who always makes people around her smile. She also helps with work while making people focus on the assignments at hand. Rae shows that ‘Failure Leads to Success’ if an idea doesn't work out. She always ‘Speaks with Good Purpose,’ bringing encouragement to students on challenging days. Thank you for being so inspirational. Well deserved, Rae!"
Makena C., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Her classmate, Fletcher S., nominated her for the Friday Firebird Award. Fletcher shared, "Makena has been nominated for this award because she is kind to everyone around her. She is always on task in class and doing what she is supposed to, even when no teacher is watching. Congratulations and well done, Makena!"
