Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!

Thomas C., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Becker shared, "Thomas has been awesome in AVID the last few weeks. He has put his best into working during class and turning in his work on time. I am so proud of the work you have been putting in, Thomas! Keep up the good work!!"

Bryce P., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Keenan shared, "AVID is about creating success for yourself by developing excellent study skills and critical thinking skills. Bryce is an exceptional AVID student. He maintains excellent grades, is organized, actively participates in classes, and seeks to learn more. He is also a kind and thoughtful person who displays empathy to all his classmates. He balances school demands with personal interests outside of school. I am so lucky to have him in AVID! Congratulations, Bryce!"

Colin C., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! His teacher shared, "Colin is an exemplary AVID student. He is very well organized and well-written. He works collaboratively with others. He asks great, deep questions and enjoys reading. He is helpful and kind to his classmates. He strives to be better and always does his best. He is such an important part of our class. Thank you for all you do, Colin! Congratulations!"
