Each week, our teachers nominate students to receive a Friday Firebird Award. This award is given to students who set a wonderful example by demonstrating The Eight Keys of Excellence!
Shiloe B., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Koenig shared, "Shiloe has been doing great things in English class. She is always on task and working hard on her note-taking and writing. She is eager to learn, and I am so glad to have her here at WCA! Great job, Shiloe!"
Callum N., a 6th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Keenan shared, "Callum is showing ‘Commitment’ to his learning by taking a chance and advancing a grade in math. He is showing ‘Flexibility’ by eating lunch on Green Days with the 7th grade. He is a great example of a student willing to accept an academic challenge. Great job, Callum!"
Jayce H., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Moralez shared, "Jayce rallies excitement for the content presented and shares it with those around him. He is always willing to try hard things! Thank you for being a model Firebird, Jayce!"
Leila S., a 7th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Mrs. Brown shared, "Leila comes to class ready to learn. She shows ‘Flexibility’ when plans change and is always willing to help her classmates when needed! Great job, Leila!!"
Caleb A., an 8th grader, was recognized as a Firebird Award winner! Ms. McIntire shared, "Caleb is always looking for ways to be helpful and to be kind. Whether he is taking the initiative to pass out his peer's work or if he's helping me with technical difficulties, Caleb is always demonstrating what it means to be a positive student at Windsor Charter Academy.
