We are excited to continue offering students at Windsor Charter Academy High School opportunities to participate in service projects. On Thursday, November 19th, students will again have the opportunity to step outside the classroom, serve others, strengthen our school and community, and work toward completing their required service hours.
Students will have the opportunity to choose from several meaningful service projects, both on our campus and throughout the community:
Weld County Food Bank: Help support our local food bank and those in need in our community. ($7 bus fee)
Larimer County Food Bank: Help with holiday meal distribution and pickup. ($7 bus fee)
Traverse Church: Help beautify the campus (inside and out) or read to kids in the daycare.
WCA Organic Garden: Help clean, weed, and beautify the garden.
Service is an important part of developing responsible, compassionate, and engaged young adults, and we hope providing Days of Service will be the beginning of many opportunities for our students to make a positive difference.
We've shared sign-up information and additional details with students; we encourage them to watch for updates and choose a service opportunity that interests them.
We can't wait to see our Firebirds serving, leading, and giving back!
