Aims Community College is hosting three events this fall for high school students and their families. Together, they offer a practical look at life after graduation, from paying for college to exploring specific career paths.
Aims FAFSA Fest
Completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is one of the most important steps in planning for college, and Aims is hosting a free evening to help families through it on Monday, October 26th, from 4:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Welcome Center on the Greeley Campus (4901 W. 20th Street in Greeley). University of Northern Colorado and District 6 staff will be on hand to answer questions and guide students and parents as they set up accounts, start applications, and complete them.
Discover Aims
Aims faculty and staff invite students and families to an all-campus open house on Thursday, October 29th, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at the Greeley Campus. Guests can learn about Aims academic programs, connect with campus resources, and tour the college’s state-of-the-art facilities. Check in and enjoy refreshments at the Student Commons, located at 5121 W. 20th St. in Greeley. Find more information at events.aims.edu.
Experience Aims: High School Preview Day
On Friday, November 6th, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., high school students can spend a hands-on day with faculty and staff from the Automotive, Aviation, and Public Safety programs at the Aims Windsor Campus, 1140 Southgate Dr. Each student will choose three Exploring Academics sessions from the following options:
Flight and Air Traffic Control
Drones
Aviation Maintenance Technician
Automotive
Emergency Medical Services
Fire Academy Training
Lunch is provided. Space is limited; registration is first-come, first-served, and walk-in attendees cannot be accommodated, so we encourage students to register and select their sessions soon using this registration link.
