Meet Our Office Staff

We are excited to introduce our families to our office staff this year! Families can learn a little bit more about each of our staff members below. Stop by our front office and say hello!

Mrs. Wilson

Mrs. Wilson is entering her fifth year as director of elementary school education and her eleventh year at Windsor Charter Academy (WCA). During her time at WCA, she has served as a teacher, dean, and assistant principal - all experiences that continue to shape her leadership today. Mrs. Wilson and her husband live in Windsor with their two children, a third-grader and a fifth-grader, who proudly attend WCA. As a family, they enjoy hiking, biking, swimming, and taking full advantage of Colorado’s great outdoors. Mrs. Wilson also enjoys participating in local races and being actively involved in WCA and Windsor community events. She is deeply committed to ensuring that every student is educated, empowered, and equipped to reach their fullest potential. Mrs. Wilson looks forward to partnering with staff, students, and families for another incredible school year!

Mrs. Jones

This is Mrs. Jones’  eleventh year at WCA. She is excited to start her first year as assistant principal, having served four years as the dean of students at our elementary school. Before her current roles in administration, she was a third-grade teacher. In addition to her passion for education, Mrs. Jones is family and relationship-oriented. She enjoys spending time with her husband and two boys, Declan and Weston. Her family can typically be found camping, enjoying the mountains, or watching sports. She is devoted to celebrating diverse learning needs and cultivating an environment of continuous learning for all staff and students. She is excited to have a fantastic school year with her Firebird Family!

Ms. Watson

Ms. Watson is beginning her tenth year at WCA. During her time here, she has served as a first-grade teacher and as the instructional coach for the past five years. This year, she is excited to step into her new role as dean of students. She looks forward to partnering with families to ensure that every student has the opportunity to learn, grow, and succeed. Outside of school, Ms. Watson enjoys traveling and spending time reading. She especially loves discovering new places, getting lost in a good book, and finding new adventures to share with friends and family. She is dedicated to supporting the success of all students and is eager for another wonderful year at WCA!

Mrs. Bradford

Mrs. Bradford is in her fourth year at WCA, and serves as our front office receptionist. Her family has been at WCA for six years. Previously, she worked as a paraprofessional. She and her husband live in Windsor with their four kids and can usually be found driving them to and from sports! In her spare time, Mrs. Bradford enjoys playing pickleball, shopping, and spending time with her kids. She is excited to start another year supporting our students and working closely with their families, while being a positive and supportive presence in their lives.

MRS. HERRBACK

Mrs. Herrback is excited to return as a counselor for her 4th year at WCA! This is her 8th year as a school counselor, although her career in education first began as a teacher in 2004. Students often remember her name by saying, "Mrs. Herrback has your back!" She resides in Windsor with her husband and two daughters, who also attend WCA. When the weather is warm, you may find Mrs. Herrback and her family biking, paddleboarding, or hiking. However, she especially enjoys curling up with a good book alongside her two dogs during cold, snowy days. No matter the weather, Mrs. Herrback loves bringing a smile to children's faces and looks forward to further building relationships with students, families, and staff this year!

Ms. Winder

Ms. Winder is beginning her 10th year with WCA and her 4th year as an elementary school counselor. Prior to becoming a school counselor, she taught 2nd grade and 3rd grade and served as an interventionist. Ms. Winder loves to spend time with her four children, cheering them on during their sports and hobbies, hiking, and camping. Mrs. Winder believes in lifelong education. She is excited to continue getting to know and supporting all the fantastic students and families at WCA.

Mrs. Schmitz

Mrs. Schmitz is entering her seventh year at WCA, serving as the office manager. She lives in Windsor with her husband and their son, who is also a student at WCA. In her free time, she enjoys exploring Colorado, relaxing with a good book, and taking road trips to visit her older son in college. Mrs. Schmitz has truly enjoyed getting to know the students, staff, and families at WCA, and she looks forward to continuing to support the school community!
