The purpose of our Stakeholder Communication page is to increase communication with our WCA community members about Executive Board activities. This communication will be published approximately two weeks after our regularly scheduled Executive Board Meetings.

Upcoming Elections
The Windsor Charter Academy Executive Board Elections are taking place this month.
In-person voting takes place from April 21st to April 30th.
In-person voting is accessible in the front office of each school building.
Online voting takes place from April 28th to April 30th.
Voters will ONLY receive a voting link at the email address listed in Infinite Campus.
Each parent/legal guardian with an email address in Infinite Campus can vote.
Bathroom Access Legal Opinion
The Scope of Work (SOW) has been submitted and reviewed by legal counsel. Legal counsel responded with an estimated budget of $30K for a comprehensive report. The Board voted to revise the SOW to stay within a $10K cap. Legal counsel is currently and independently working through the recent findings of a Title IX violation by Jeffco Public Schools. This work will significantly reduce our SOW costs and provide current, vital information on our local legal landscape.
An Update on the Board Refinement Process
The Executive Board continues to make measurable improvements in operation and effectiveness. We are still working through critical improvement items such as Board member onboarding, creating a Board member handbook, and Board member professional development.
Items that have had an early impact include:
Addition of the Monthly Work Session
This is a public meeting where the Board discusses topics for the monthly Regular Session.
This allows individual Board members to ask many questions, share their research and data related to these topics.
Board members use this information, along with follow-up research/education, to formulate their votes for the monthly Regular Session.
This produces more well-informed, better-communicated positions and supports effective Regular Session meetings.
Officer Roles and Responsibilities
Board member duties are being reviewed, revised, and adjusted to more accurately reflect the Board's required output.
This includes reviewing Board member committee obligations to improve effectiveness and compliance.

Executive Director Contract Update
The Executive Board followed up on the Work Session discussion regarding the Executive Director's contract.
The contract was voted on and approved with adjustments to ensure both the Executive Director position and Windsor Charter Academy are protected.
