On October 8th, the WCA Girls’ Varsity Volleyball team, ranked 3rd in 3A, faced the Fort Morgan Mustangs, ranked 3rd in 4A, in a non-conference matchup and swept them in three straight sets! The Firebirds controlled the first set from start to finish, winning 25-14. Fort Morgan pushed back in the second set, but WCA held its momentum and took it 25-18. The third set was the tightest of the night, with the lead trading back and forth until the Firebirds closed it out 25-22. The win improves their record to 15-3!
Congratulations to Hannah H., who set a new school record with 19 consecutive serves, breaking the previous mark of 15!
Come out to cheer on the Firebirds at their next home game!
