The Windsor Charter Academy Girls' Varsity Volleyball team swept the Frontier Academy Wolverines in three sets at Homecoming on October 1st. The Firebirds closed out the match before an energetic home crowd!
The Firebirds started strong, winning the first four points of the match. Aubrey P. added two points from the service line, and Hannah H.'s net blocks helped the Firebirds protect an early lead that grew to 9–5. The Wolverines worked to close the gap, but the Firebirds held them off to take the first set. In the second set, strong Firebird serving kept Frontier on its heels and forced the Wolverines to hit several balls out of bounds.
The third set opened evenly, and the gym grew tense as both teams traded points for the lead. The Firebirds answered with steady teamwork, solid blocking, and aggressive serving, pulling away for a 25–13 finish. What a way to finish Homecoming, Firebirds!
