As part of our ICAP and AVID courses, we will conduct mock interviews with our sophomores on Thursday, March 28th, from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.

Students who are also graduating from Aims Community College were provided graduation information via their aims.edu email. This information has been copied below.

Students will take the PSAT10 (sophomores) or SAT (juniors) in school on Tuesday, April 16th.  One component of these tests is an optional student questionnaire that is completed prior to test day.

There are several important dates coming up for our high school students!

The wickedly delightful sci-fi sensation, Little Shop of Horrors, is coming to WCA! Save the date for an evening (or matinee) of dark comedy, iconic music, and a special guest appearance by the infamous man-eating plant herself, the Audrey II.

Student Council is starting a new tradition this year called Wish Week!! Wish Week will be held the week of March 25th. Student Council representatives will grant the wishes of students and staff members.

Congratulations to Rob I., a senior, who is a recipient of the prestigious Walter Scott Undergraduate Scholarship at Colorado State University! In addition to this scholarship, Rob received a merit scholarship, which, when combined, will pay for all of his tuition, room, and board at CSU.

Colorado State University will host a summer institute for young women aged 15-18 interested in learning more about construction management. This 4-day institute held on the CSU campus will provide students with the opportunity to learn more about the construction industry, network with professionals and other students, tour a construction site, learn about equipment, and build an independent project.

Talking with your teen about tough topics can be challenging. However, research shows having a trusted adult is a major protective factor in preventing teen suicide. Having an honest conversation lets your teens know they can come to you with issues if needed.

We will host an After-Prom planning meeting on Thursday, March 7th, at 3:30 p.m. in the HS Conference Room. Please feel free to attend if you are interested in helping out with After-Prom activities!

We are proud to announce that Emma B. has accepted an appointment to attend the United States Military Academy at West Point! She was nominated by Congressman Ken Buck and Senator John Hickenlooper.

On Thursday, February 29th, at 6:30 p.m., high school music students will show off their hard work by performing musical works for each other, family, and friends. All are welcome to attend an evening of musical entertainment! Students performing will need to arrive by 6:00 p.m.

Windsor Parks, Recreation, & Culture is hosting a Summer Employment Fair on Thursday, March 7th, from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. The event will be held at the Community Recreation Center. WCA students are invited to explore the wide variety of job opportunities offered!

Windsor Charter Academy is partnering with the Weld County Substance Use Prevention Program and is hosting an informational seminar to learn more about “The Impact of Vaping, Marijuana, Opioids, and Fentanyl on Young People.” This seminar was originally scheduled for March 28th but has been rescheduled to April 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Charter Academy Middle/High School Classroom #145/147. This event is open to parents and students! Please RSVP here.

Women Optimizing Women, a local non-profit organization, is hosting a free Pop-Up Prom Party! This event is open to all northern Colorado high school students and will be held on March 3rd from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at Just for Kix in Windsor. 

After-Prom is a safe and fun way for our students to enjoy themselves and celebrate the end of the year with one another! One of the most exciting parts of After-Prom is the prizes that our students can win by attending this event! If you are interested in donating a prize, please sign up here.

WCA is proud to offer a Summer Internship Program to our high school students! This is an excellent opportunity for students to connect with employers, gain real-world experience, and earn high school credit over the summer. Previous interns have worked in law offices, doctor and dentist offices, engineering firms, auto mechanic centers, art centers, the City of Windsor, and many more!

The technical grading scale errors in Infinite Campus have been rectified, and the Academic Lettering Breakfast has been rescheduled to Wednesday, April 3rd, at 7:30 a.m. in the MS/HS Gymnasium. If your student earned a GPA of 3.95 or above for the spring and fall 2023 semesters, students and parents have been emailed an invitation to our Academic Lettering Breakfast.
