Windsor Charter Academy has a part-time position opening for a high school paraprofessional! This position is ideal for someone looking for flexible hours or who wishes to be on a school calendar schedule.

If you need to drop off lunch, supplies, homework, or other items for your student, please bring them to the front desk. To minimize classroom disruptions, students will be called down to pick up their items during the next passing period, unless they need a Chromebook or other urgent items.

Windsor Charter Academy welcomes families and veterans to our Veterans Day Assembly on November 11th in the Firebird Facility Gym! The assembly will begin at 2:15 p.m., but visitor check-in will start at 1:45 p.m. at the south door of the Firebird Facility. We are excited to honor those who have served our country!

In celebration of Halloween, high school students can participate in a costume contest on Wednesday, October 30th. The student who wins the costume contest will be awarded a Free Dress Day Pass for Monday, November 4th.

The HS Parent-Teacher Club will host a Teacher Appreciation Luncheon on Wednesday, November 13th. This luncheon will be a potluck-style soup and salad bar set up in the high school teacher lounge. Please use this link to volunteer to bring items for this event!

As a parent, are you looking for additional ways to motivate your child for school? Research shows that praising effort over ability is key to having students believe in themselves and continue to persevere to complete a task.

We want to extend our appreciation to our Firebird Families for coming out and supporting our high school music students! Under Mrs. Frazee's direction, the HS Wind Ensemble performed “The Great Locomotive Chase” with soloists Grace M., Zach W., and Emma G.

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Math Contest is open to any middle or high school student interested in math! The first round of questions is sent to Windsor Charter Academy from UNC and administered in-house at WCA during a 2-day window.

The next date for SAT testing is November 2nd. The deadline to register for this test is October 18th;  any registrations after this date will need to pay a late registration fee.

The High School Parent-Teacher Club is excited to introduce a monthly Teacher Snack Cart. This cart will be rolled from classroom to classroom and offer teachers a variety of snacks, such as chips, drinks, candy, etc., as a small gesture of appreciation.

The Daniels Scholarship Program is available to WCA students. The deadline of October 18th is quickly approaching!

On Thursday, we held an all-school assembly and discussed our ALICE protocol and Title IX with the students. Families can find more information about these items on our website. 

Skillman Photography will be at the MS/HS on Wednesday, October 15th, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. for picture retakes. Forms will be available at the front desk.

We will be holding our Parent-Teacher Conferences on Thursday, October 10th, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Gymnasium. These conferences are held in an open-house format, so there may be a wait time to see teachers.

Colorado's sixth annual Free Applications Day will be held from October 15th through 17th for Colorado residents! Our college counselors will be here on October 15th to assist our seniors with submitting their Common Applications to Colorado colleges.

We are committed to supporting our students’ academic achievement! Students who are failing more than one class or who have a D and F in two or more classes will meet with a counselor beginning on October 1st. Students will have a full week to improve their grade to a C or better

Join us for our middle and high school Scholastic Book Fair! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the MS/HS Media Center from Tuesday, October 8th through Friday, October 11th. The Book Fair will be open before school, during lunch, and after school, until 4:00 p.m.

The Caring Canines program is providing us with a therapy dog, named Cobos, who will visit students every Monday during lunch!
