We’re excited to announce that we will be partnering with Original Works this fall, the original art-based fundraising company! Students will create artwork at school, and then their art will be reproduced onto a variety of keepsake products ranging from mugs to magnets.

Our elementary school classes will celebrate Halloween on Thursday, October 30th! We are excited to welcome our families to our school and see all of their creative costumes!

Our kindergarten students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit—Five Senses! They will have a fun Halloween celebration centered around the study of the human body. They will get to explore the five senses and the five food groups, play games, and create crafts. 

Our first-grade students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit—Ancient Egypt! They have been learning about the ancient civilization of Egypt. During their celebration, they will participate in activities supporting and enriching the Core Knowledge curriculum. 

We invite you to join us for our annual Elementary School Veterans Day Assembly on Tuesday, November 11th, at 8:30 a.m. in our gymnasium. This special event honors the service and sacrifices of our nation’s veterans. Out of respect for our honored guests, we kindly ask that all attendees remain for the entire duration of the assembly.

At our fall Junior Firebird Cheer Clinic, elementary school students have the opportunity to work with the WCA High School Cheer Team on their cheer and dance skills and cheer at a high school basketball game!

The Town of Windsor Parks, Recreation, and Culture Department is hosting a fall basketball camp for elementary and middle school students! As community partners, Windsor Charter Academy invites our families to participate in this event.

Picture Retake Day for elementary school students will be held on Monday, October 6th, from 8:00 to 9:00 a.m. Please review the Dress Code Policy for information on formal dress uniforms for Picture Day. 

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in classrooms from September 29th through October 9th. Please note that fall conferences are mandatory for all families.

Does your student love to read? Battle of the Books fosters a culture of reading at our school! Battle of the Books is a fun, Family-Feud-style competition in which teams of students compete against peer schools to test their knowledge of a selection of books.

Windsor Charter Academy Elementary School students and families are invited to an exciting evening where science, technology, engineering, and math come to life through the wonders of nature and the great outdoors!

Vision and Hearing Screenings will be conducted on Tuesday, October 7th. All grade levels, except for the 4th grade, will be screened. To accurately test your child's vision, please ensure they bring their glasses to school on the day of screening.

We are excited to share an incredible educational travel opportunity for our 5th-grade students and their families! In honor of this significant transitional year, we will be traveling to historic Boston in the early summer of 2026.

Our Parent Information Night will be held on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, from 5:00 p.m. to 6:15 p.m. This event is for parents only.  Each year, we invite our parents to come and learn more about our curriculum, classroom procedures, expectations, and volunteer opportunities in an adult-only setting.
