Last week, a wedding ring was found in the elementary school staff bathroom. This ring has not been claimed by any staff member, so we are reaching out to our parent and volunteer community to see if anyone can claim it.

We are excited to celebrate our 5th grade students as they make their way to middle school! Our 5th Grade Continuation Ceremony will take place on Wednesday, May 18th at 8:25 a.m. After the Continuation Ceremony, students will leave for their field trip to Rollerland. The field trip is a student-only event.

We want to inform parents that the WCA Elementary School yearbook is sold out! Yearbooks will be delivered to students during the last week of school.

Each year, Student Council raises funds through charging students $1 to wear jeans on Friday. At the end of the year, Student Council then determines how best to utilize those funds. This year, Student Council has chosen to purchase permanent tetherball poles for our playground!

As the end of the year approaches, please be sure that your student has turned in their library books!

The Kona Ice truck is coming to Windsor Charter Academy Elementary School! Kona Ice will be here on April 22nd to celebrate the success of our Firebird Fun Run Fundraiser! From April 18th through 21st, students can bring in Kona Ice money and turn it into their teacher.

The Windsor Charter Academy Middle School Cheer Team is excited to have 5th grade students join the cheer team next year! We are ramping up for our 2022-23 season and invite families who are interested to join us at our parent meeting on April 14th.

Cooking Club is a community-based class that provides students with skills to creatively make snacks and meals on their own! In this club, students will learn to follow recipes, use kitchen tools, and prepare snacks that can be enjoyed together as a group or at home.

Running Club is a great way for students to stay active and enjoy running with friends! This club is designed to help students learn the importance of healthy bodies through physical activity and enjoy the relaxing benefits that running can bring.

We are excited to announce that our Firebird Fun Run Fundraising Campaign is back! Our fundraising campaign, culminating with our Firebird Fun Run event, serves as our annual elementary school fundraiser and is an opportunity for families to support our school!

We are excited to kick-off the 2022 Track & Field season! We encourage all MS students interested in running, jumping, and/or throwing to join us for conditioning and practices held Monday through Friday from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. from March 28th to May 13th, 2022.

Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards.

Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are excited to invite families to their music program on March 17th! Each music program will last 20 minutes. Students will be dismissed from the gym after each performance.

Students are encouraged to wear green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th. All students who wear green may have a Free Jeans Day!

Students are encouraged to wear Firebird colors and Firebird spirit wear on March 16th to celebrate the kick-off assembly for the Firebird Fund Drive. Students are encouraged to wear Firebird colors from head to toe!

All middle school students have received their registration forms for the 2022-2023 school year! Forms should be turned into your student’s homeroom teacher by March 14th.

We are excited to celebrate our students' as they perform at the Talent Show. The Talent Show will be held on April 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All students participating in the show need to arrive by 5:30 p.m. The doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. We are excited to see all of our wonderful acts this year!

Windsor Charter Academy’s teachers want to make sure that our incoming kindergarten students have a great start to the school year! On Monday, March 28th, WCA’s kindergarten teachers will work one-on-one with incoming kindergarten students to assess their level of basic kindergarten skills.

We are excited to bring back a favorite elementary school tradition - The Firebird Fun Run! This all-school fundraiser will kick off just before Spring Break and will culminate in a Firebird Fun Run on Friday, April 8th. Stay tuned for more details about this event!
