Testing for Incoming Kindergarten Students

Windsor Charter Academy’s teachers want to make sure that our incoming kindergarten students have a great start to the school year! On Monday, March 28th, WCA’s kindergarten teachers will work one-on-one with incoming kindergarten students to assess their level of basic kindergarten skills. Testing sessions take about 5 minutes to complete. The data collected through these assessments help determine individual student needs in the areas of reading and math. In addition, these assessments help teachers create balanced classrooms.

All parents of incoming kindergarteners are asked to sign up for one testing time slot. Please arrive on time to respect the time of all parents and students.

Testing will take place at Windsor Charter Academy Elementary School in classrooms 103 and 105. These classrooms have exterior doors located off of Academy Court and will be clearly labeled for easy entry into our building. We are currently a mask-optional school so please do what feels best for your family!

We look forward to meeting the newest members of our Firebird family! For questions, please reach out to Jolene Steenburgen, WCA Kindergarten Teacher.
