On Wednesday, March 2nd, in honor of National Read Across America Day, Windsor Charter Academy invites students and staff to come to school dressed as a favorite book character!

We are excited to host our PBIS Assembly on March 4th from at 8:30 a.m. Students gather together to celebrate what they have learned about the Eight Keys of Excellence! As a reminder to parents, this is a student-only event.

Windsor Charter Academy teachers and administrators have the responsibility to place all children within an environment that best suits their academic, social, and behavioral needs. Parents may give input on placement through the Learning Environment Input Form.

The 5th Grade Changing Bodies Class will be offered March 14th through 18th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. each day. This class helps both boys and girls to understand the physical and emotional changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge these changes as a normal part of growth and development.

It’s time for our Science Fair! Fifth grade students will be presenting science fair projects on Friday, February 18th. Parents are welcome to come visit projects in the 5th grade classroom from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

First grade students have been learning about the culture of Mexico as part of their unit on modern civilizations. During their celebration, they will participate in different activities that support and enrich the Core Knowledge curriculum.

On February 8th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. we hosted our Elementary School Character Education, Social-Emotional, and Mental Health Webinar! The recording is now available, as well as a link to additional parent resources that were discussed during the webinar.

Windsor Charter Academy Elementary School Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is excited to invite our families to Family Dance Night on Friday, February 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Come get your groove on!

We would like to remind all parents about the importance of picking up your student at your designated pick-up time and location. Arriving outside your pick-up times causes traffic congestion and, in some cases, blocked-off lanes where vehicles are unable to move due to a gridlock.

Windsor Charter Academy is excited to introduce Mr. Rae, our new school counseling intern! Mr. Rae will be working with Mrs. Kershaw and Mrs. Bratton as a counselor for all elementary and middle school students.

Parents’ Night Out will occur on February 11, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Registration is required so please register now!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from January 31st through February 11th. Teachers will create Sign Up Genius Links and share them with parents.

We are proud to host a Chessmates club at our elementary school! Please note that this club is hosted at our school, but is organized separately through Chessmates. Registration must be completed on Chessmates’ website.

As a reminder, school breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. Supervision begins in the backyard for all other students beginning at 7:45 a.m. Students should not be dropped off before 7:45 a.m. for safety reasons, unless eating breakfast.

​​The countdown is on! This is the last week to guarantee your student gets a yearbook. We will be ordering very few extra copies to sell at the end of the year. It is unlikely that there will be a book available for your child if you don’t order a book by January 28th.

Administration monitors weather alerts and updates for severe weather. In the event we have severe weather conditions, we will initiate the inclement weather dismissal plan. In the event that the weather puts our staff or students in danger, students will be held inside until it is safe to release.

We encourage our families to check students out of of school for emergencies and appointments only. Checking a student out of school at the front office should be a rare occurrence and not be done daily

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for our 1st quarter will be held on Friday, January 21st at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Parents of students who earned an honor roll recognition will receive an email this week inviting them to the assembly.
