All students will turn in their school-issued Chromebook and charger after their final exam on May 21st (8th grade only) and May 22nd (6th & 7th grades). Each Chromebook has a blue and silver inventory tag with an asset number.

Does your student need additional volunteer hours to meet their yearly service requirement? If so, the Town of Windsor is hosting a Windsor Volunteer Fair on Saturday, April 27th! The event will take place at Boardwalk Park under the main pavilion from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m.

WCA's Middle & High School Fine Arts Department will host a Spring Music & Art Festival on May 9th! Enjoy live music performed by the middle school band and choir, followed by the high school wind ensemble, jazz band, and choir! Students will perform in MS Commons and the Gym. All students should wear the band/choir shirts and jeans.

On Tuesday, May 21st, our 8th-grade class will celebrate their last year of middle school at our 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony, followed by a dinner and dance. It has been a tradition for 6th & 7th-grade families to help with this event each year so 8th-grade families can attend the Continuation Ceremony.

Childhood anxiety is becoming increasingly common among youth. In fact, there are now approximately 4.4 million children ranging from ages 3-17 who have been diagnosed with anxiety.

Middle school students will complete their iReady testing and final exams in May. Please note that 6th & 7th graders will be released at 11:04 a.m. on May 22nd, and 8th graders will not have school on that day. All lockers will be cleaned out on Tuesday, May 21st.

We are looking forward to the Firebird Fest on May 21st! All middle school students will enjoy lunch, games, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, a dunk tank, yearbook signing, and other events! 

During Firebird Fest, we serve lunch to all middle and high school teachers and staff! We will purchase sandwiches for everyone, but we are asking for donations for sides and drinks. If you are able to donate these items, please sign up here!

We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th-grade students on Tuesday, May 21st! Our 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Students should arrive at 4:45 p.m., and the doors will open to the public at 5:00 p.m.

Each school year, middle school students are required to complete community service hours. Each grade level is required to complete a certain number of hours.

CMAS testing is coming up! We are seeking snack donations for our students to enjoy after CMAS testing.  If you are interested in helping, please sign up here.  Items can be dropped off in the middle school office by Wednesday, April 10th.

Congratulations to our 3rd Quarter Honor Roll recipients! These students will be recognized at school and receive a coupon for a “High School Dress Day” to be used on Thursday, April 4th. Students must follow the high school dress code policy.

Windsor Charter Academy students will take their Colorado Measures of Academic Success  (CMAS) tests in April!  CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time.  In addition, these assessments measure students’ critical thinking skills, which are needed to be successful in school and life. 

Our middle school students collected a total of 705 items for our food drive! In total, our families donated 229 pounds of food. We are thankful for the generosity of our families!

On Tuesday, March 5th at 5:30 p.m., middle school music students will show off their hard work by performing musical works for each other, family, and friends. All are welcome to attend an evening of musical entertainment!

Our Spring Dance will be on Friday, March 1st, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.!  The dance will have a beach party theme to celebrate our upcoming spring break vacation! Tickets will be sold for $5.00 (cash only).

Congratulations to our middle school students who participated in the Colorado Open Cup Stacking Championship last weekend! Diviya F., Tayla F., and Even V. all competed. Diviya earned two 2nd-place medals and a 3rd-place medal and placed 3rd all around.

Windsor Charter Academy is partnering with the Weld County Substance Use Prevention Program and is hosting an informational seminar to learn more about “The Impact of Vaping, Marijuana, Opioids, and Fentanyl on Young People.” This seminar was originally scheduled for March 28th but has been rescheduled to April 16th from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Windsor Charter Academy Middle/High School Classroom #145/147.
