If a student has a missing assignment in Infinite Campus, parents/guardians will receive an email every Monday with a list of missing assignments. Teachers mark any assignment that is not turned in at the due date as missing, even if a student is absent.

Jostens will be here on September 6th for a senior class meeting during the ELO block to discuss and distribute graduation order forms as well as sophomore class ring order forms. Jostens will be back to collect the order forms on September 14th.

This year we will be allowing seniors to paint their own parking spots if they have submitted an application. Applications are due by the end of this week! We encourage students to express themselves through positive artwork, to beautify our campus, and build school spirit.

Student Council will offer Friday Dress Down Day as a weekly fundraiser where students can pay $1 to dress down.

Our Sources of Strength (SOS) team is preparing to celebrate a year of spreading positivity across our high school!

All juniors recently received an email regarding the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test which will take place at WCA on October 11th. If your student has not signed up to take this optional test, please encourage them to do so.

WCA High School Theatre is back and thrilled to announce auditions for Radium Girls, this year’s much-anticipated fall play!

Academic Support for high school students will offered weekly on Tuesdays from 3:30 to 4:15 p.m. throughout the school year. During Academic Support, all teachers are in the building and available to support students.

We are excited to offer our high school students a new zero hour class - The Art of Problem Solving! This class is an introduction to applying math to the real-world problems, as well as developing critical thinking and problem-solving skills. All math levels are invited to join!

On May 18th, all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will turn in their school-issued Chromebook and charger after their last final exam.

We are looking forward to Firebird Fest on May 17th! Freshmen, sophomores, and juniors are invited to join us after school from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. to enjoy games, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, a dunk tank, yearbook signing, and other events! All high school students need to be picked up by 12:30 p.m.

Teacher Appreciation Week is May 8th through May 12th. PTC will be sponsoring a lunch for teachers on Monday, May 8th.

Student Council is hosting a fundraiser at Cafe Mexicali on May 4th, 5th & 6th. Come enjoy great food with your family. Please make sure to bring this flier with you! 

Yearbooks will be distributed before school, during lunch, and after school on May 1st and 2nd. If a student purchased a yearbook, they need to give their name to receive their book. A limited number of books may be available for purchase on distribution day

Registration is now open for GirlsGetMath@CSU, a free weeklong, non-residential summer math camp in the Department of Mathematics at CSU! The camp will run June 5-9 from approximately 9:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. each day.

WCA's Middle & High School Fine Arts Department will be hosting a Spring Music & Art Festival on May 3rd! Come enjoy live music performed by the middle school band and choir, followed by the high school wind ensemble, jazz band, and choir. Students will be performing in MS Commons and Gym.

Our Sources of Strength (SOS) team is preparing to celebrate a year of spreading positivity across our high school as a means for suicide awareness and prevention. If you would like to contribute funds to support a pizza party for the SOS team, please contact Ms. Seneca

The Volunteer Appreciation Breakfast will be held on Monday, May 1st from 8:15 to 9:15 a.m. to celebrate our amazing volunteers at WCA Middle & High School.

High school students will have review sessions and take their final exams the week of May 15th. On May 18th, students will take final exams and will be released early at 11:11 a.m.

We invite our parent community to join us at our HS AVID Showcase to learn more about the program and see AVID in action in our high school classrooms! The AVID Showcase will be held on April 26th from 8:00 to 11:00 a.m.
