This week we held our 9th and 10th Grade College Planning Webinar! Jessica Chermack and Sawyer Earwood from Virtual College Counselors presented information on how parents and students can begin to navigate the college application process.

We have several updates for our seniors!

All students will continue to receive breakfast and lunch at no cost for the remainder of this school year. However, if you think your family may qualify for Free and Reduced-Price Lunch, please consider filling out the application on our website. There are many other benefits that come with qualifying for this federal program.

Our students’ emotional health is just as important as their academic well-being. The WCA High School Counseling Office is expanding their services to help students develop strong emotional health, problem-solving skills, and coping strategies.

Join us on November 11th from 2:00 - 3:00 p.m. in the MS/HS Gymnasium to celebrate our Veterans! A reception for Veterans and their families will be held in the HS Commons following the assembly.

Windsor Charter Academy has partnered with Virtual Colleges Counselors to provide our high school parents with resources to help families prepare for college.

We would like to invite all of our 9th and 10th grade parents to a College Planning Webinar on Tuesday, October 26th from 6:00-7:00 p.m.

We are looking forward to Halloween and need your help! Students will be permitted to wear school-appropriate costumes on Friday, October 29th.

Don’t forget to order a cap and gown for your senior!

Our homecoming dance will be this Saturday, October 2nd at 7:00 p.m. Tickets will be sold at the door for $10 per person.

All juniors recently received an email regarding the National Merit Scholar Qualifying Test which will take place at WCA on October 13th. If your student has not signed up to take this optional test, please encourage them to do so.

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are upon us! These conferences will be held Tuesday, October 12th from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the school’s gymnasium.

Are you looking for help to pay for college? Having a portion of your educational expenses paid for by a scholarship frees up your time to focus on academic achievement and minimizes the stress of having to pay back a student loan.

Are you interested in volunteering at our high school? We have made it easier than ever for families to sign up to volunteer! Our school has a master Sign Up Genius Form where we will post a variety of volunteer opportunities that are available each week.

Let’s celebrate our teachers! On October 12th, the high school Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is hosting a Teacher Appreciation Dinner during parent-teacher conferences. If you would like to bring a dish, please sign up here!

Jostens will have a table set up outside the HS front office on Wednesday, September 22nd from 12:30 to 1:30 p.m. to collect student graduation orders.

If a student has a missing assignment in Infinite Campus, parents will receive an email every Wednesday at 12:30 p.m. with a list of missing assignments.

Homecoming Week will be held from September 28th through October 1st! There are several activities scheduled to celebrate our Firebirds! If you are interested in volunteering for this event, please sign up here!

The Windsor/Severance FFA Alumni group and other community supporters have come together to host a CTE Opportunities Fair for northern Colorado students. The CTE Opportunities Fair is intended to showcase careers in various trades.
