We are excited to kick-off the 2022 Track & Field season! We encourage all MS students interested in running, jumping, and/or throwing to join us for conditioning and practices held Monday through Friday from 3:15 to 5:00 p.m. from March 28th to May 13th, 2022.

Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) tests in April! CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards.

Kindergarten, first, and second grade students are excited to invite families to their music program on March 17th! Each music program will last 20 minutes. Students will be dismissed from the gym after each performance.

Students are encouraged to wear green to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day on March 17th. All students who wear green may have a Free Jeans Day!

Students are encouraged to wear Firebird colors and Firebird spirit wear on March 16th to celebrate the kick-off assembly for the Firebird Fund Drive. Students are encouraged to wear Firebird colors from head to toe!

All middle school students have received their registration forms for the 2022-2023 school year! Forms should be turned into your student’s homeroom teacher by March 14th.

We are excited to celebrate our students' as they perform at the Talent Show. The Talent Show will be held on April 28th from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. All students participating in the show need to arrive by 5:30 p.m. The doors will open to the public at 5:30 p.m. We are excited to see all of our wonderful acts this year!

Windsor Charter Academy’s teachers want to make sure that our incoming kindergarten students have a great start to the school year! On Monday, March 28th, WCA’s kindergarten teachers will work one-on-one with incoming kindergarten students to assess their level of basic kindergarten skills.

We are excited to bring back a favorite elementary school tradition - The Firebird Fun Run! This all-school fundraiser will kick off just before Spring Break and will culminate in a Firebird Fun Run on Friday, April 8th. Stay tuned for more details about this event!

On Wednesday, March 2nd, in honor of National Read Across America Day, Windsor Charter Academy invites students and staff to come to school dressed as a favorite book character!

We are excited to host our PBIS Assembly on March 4th from at 8:30 a.m. Students gather together to celebrate what they have learned about the Eight Keys of Excellence! As a reminder to parents, this is a student-only event.

Windsor Charter Academy teachers and administrators have the responsibility to place all children within an environment that best suits their academic, social, and behavioral needs. Parents may give input on placement through the Learning Environment Input Form.

The 5th Grade Changing Bodies Class will be offered March 14th through 18th from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. each day. This class helps both boys and girls to understand the physical and emotional changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge these changes as a normal part of growth and development.

It’s time for our Science Fair! Fifth grade students will be presenting science fair projects on Friday, February 18th. Parents are welcome to come visit projects in the 5th grade classroom from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m.

First grade students have been learning about the culture of Mexico as part of their unit on modern civilizations. During their celebration, they will participate in different activities that support and enrich the Core Knowledge curriculum.

Windsor Charter Academy Elementary School Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is excited to invite our families to Family Dance Night on Friday, February 25th from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Come get your groove on!

We would like to remind all parents about the importance of picking up your student at your designated pick-up time and location. Arriving outside your pick-up times causes traffic congestion and, in some cases, blocked-off lanes where vehicles are unable to move due to a gridlock.

Windsor Charter Academy is excited to introduce Mr. Rae, our new school counseling intern! Mr. Rae will be working with Mrs. Kershaw and Mrs. Bratton as a counselor for all elementary and middle school students.
