We would like to remind all parents about the importance of picking up your student at your designated pick-up time and location. Arriving outside your pick-up times causes traffic congestion and, in some cases, blocked-off lanes where vehicles are unable to move due to a gridlock.

Windsor Charter Academy is excited to introduce Mr. Rae, our new school counseling intern! Mr. Rae will be working with Mrs. Kershaw and Mrs. Bratton as a counselor for all elementary and middle school students.

On February 8th, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. we will be hosting our Elementary School Character Education, Social-Emotional, and Mental Health Webinar! All elementary school parents are invited to discuss a variety of important topics with our school administration and counselors.

Parents’ Night Out will occur on February 11, 2022 from 5:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.. Registration is required so please register now!

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held from January 31st through February 11th. Teachers will create Sign Up Genius Links and share them with parents.

We are proud to host a Chessmates club at our elementary school! Please note that this club is hosted at our school, but is organized separately through Chessmates. Registration must be completed on Chessmates’ website.

As a reminder, school breakfast begins at 7:30 a.m. Supervision begins in the backyard for all other students beginning at 7:45 a.m. Students should not be dropped off before 7:45 a.m. for safety reasons, unless eating breakfast.

​​The countdown is on! This is the last week to guarantee your student gets a yearbook. We will be ordering very few extra copies to sell at the end of the year. It is unlikely that there will be a book available for your child if you don’t order a book by January 28th.

Administration monitors weather alerts and updates for severe weather. In the event we have severe weather conditions, we will initiate the inclement weather dismissal plan. In the event that the weather puts our staff or students in danger, students will be held inside until it is safe to release.

We encourage our families to check students out of of school for emergencies and appointments only. Checking a student out of school at the front office should be a rare occurrence and not be done daily

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for our 1st quarter will be held on Friday, January 21st at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Parents of students who earned an honor roll recognition will receive an email this week inviting them to the assembly.

Exciting news! We will now be offering Boys’ Intramural Basketball in January! We have found a coach for this program and are excited to offer it to our elementary school students.

The second semester service project sponsored by the Student Council is “Hot Chocolate for Children's Hospital.” Students can purchase a cup of hot chocolate for $1.00 on Friday January 14th, January 21st, January 28th, and February 4th

The last day of the second quarter is December 17th. Parents will be able to view and print their child's second quarter report card from the Infinite Campus parent portal starting on January 10th.

Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about middle school! All current 5th grade students and their families are invited to attend our Middle School Parent Information Webinar on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 5:30 p.m. via Zoom.

The 4th grade classes will be presenting “A Colorado Christmas” on December 9th at 5:00 p.m. in the ES Gymnasium! The students should arrive in the music room at 4:45 p.m. as we will begin at 5:00 p.m. sharp.

Our fourth grade students are excited to celebrate all that they have learned in their Colorado History Unit, as well as perform for families during their Colorado Christmas Concert!

We are excited to host our PBIS Assembly on December 10, 2021 from at 8:15 a.m. Students gather together to celebrate what they have learned about the Eight Keys of Excellence!

The Elementary School Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) has several events coming up in December! Sweets with Santa and Teacher Appreciation Week just around the corner.
