Windsor Charter Academy teachers and administrators are responsible for placing all children within a classroom learning environment that best suits their academic, social, and behavioral needs. We strive to create and maintain learning environments that are structured, nurturing, caring, supportive, and challenging for every child!

Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th Grade Honor Roll Assembly for our 3rd quarter will be held on Friday, April 11th at 8:30 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium. Doors will open at 8:10 a.m. Parents of students who earned an honor roll recognition will receive an email inviting them to the assembly. 

On Monday, March 17th students are welcome to celebrate St Patrick’s Day by wearing green! Students may wear green or St. Patrick's Day tops with normal dress code bottoms (not jeans). In addition, St. Patrick’s Day shirts must adhere to dress code guidelines.

We are excited to invite students to WCA’s Middle School Cheerleading Tryouts! Athletes will have the opportunity to showcase their skills and join our dynamic cheerleading team. Middle school cheerleaders participate in sideline cheers at games, team bonding, summer camps, and more!

Students at Windsor Charter Academy will be taking their Colorado Measures of Academic Success  (CMAS) tests in April!  CMAS tests are meaningful and relevant assessments that support rigorous academic standards. The state’s summative tests measure students’ mastery of grade-level standards and growth over time. 

Windsor Charter Academy’s teachers want to ensure our incoming kindergarten students have a great start to the school year! On Thursday, April 24th, Windsor Charter Academy’s kindergarten teachers will work one-on-one with incoming kindergarten students to assess their level of basic kindergarten skills.

The 5th grade Student Council’s 3rd quarter service project was to sell Candy Grams for Valentine’s Day. With our families' generous support, we raised $1,330 for Children’s Hospital Colorado! Thank you to our Firebird community for being so generous and supporting a good cause!

Our fourth-grade students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in the Core Knowledge Unit - Changing Earth! The Changing Earth Celebration will be held on March 21st at 8:30 a.m. in our 4th-grade classrooms.

Families are cordially invited to join the 2nd-grade team in their classrooms from 10:30 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. on April 18th as we celebrate our youngest authors and all of their hard work this year! Students will share their writing throughout the year while enjoying cookies and lemonade.

Join our first graders as they take you on a musical adventure! Our First Grade Adventure Away Music Program will be held on March 13th at 5:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym.

Join our kindergarteners as they share with you what it means to have a happy, healthy body! Our Kindergarten Happy Healthy Me Music Program will be held on March 12th at 5:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym.

All elementary school students are invited to tryout for our school talent show!  We invite our best music, variety, and voice acts to participate!

Students who join the Art Club can work with various materials in a setting that offers quality, one-on-one assistance. Students can experiment and discover new art techniques. Let’s get creative!

The choir program at Windsor Charter Academy fosters a love of music from diverse cultures, periods, and genres while educating and equipping our students in the study and execution of the musical performing arts.

As we collectively work to have a successful second semester, we want to take a moment to remind everyone about the importance of respect and patience during pick-up time. Our staff works hard to ensure a smooth, efficient, and safe dismissal process for all students.

We are excited to share with you that our school will be participating in “Kindergarten Bring Your Parent/Guardian to PE Week” from March 10th through March 14th. 

On Wednesday, March 5th, we invite students and staff to come to school dressed as their favorite book character! Please join in on the festivities by dressing as a true book character. Students should be able to name the book in which their character plays a role.

The 5th Grade Changing Bodies Class will be offered from March 17th through 21st from 2:10 to 3:00 p.m. each day. This class helps both boys and girls to understand the physical and emotional changes they experience during puberty and acknowledge these changes as a normal part of growth and development. 

It’s time for our Science Fair! Fifth-grade students will be presenting Science Fair projects on Friday, February 27th. Guests are invited to view the displays from 8:30 to 9:10 a.m. in the ES cafeteria.
