If you are a parent of a current 5th grader, you are invited to join us for our Changing Bodies Parent Information Webinar! Our 5th grade students will soon start their Changing Bodies education segment in class to learn about the early stages of puberty.

Join us for our first Virtual PE Family Night! This event is open to all Windsor Charter Academy elementary school PE students and their families. Online families are also invited to join!

The Healthy Kids 5210+ Challenge sponsored by UCHealth started on Monday, February 1, 2021. The 5210+ Challenge is a great way to reinforce healthy habits with children. Windsor Charter Academy has the opportunity to earn up to $1,500 worth of PE equipment and school wellness initiatives if we meet the challenge with enough participation.

WCA’s Parent-Teacher Committee would like to help our parents celebrate Valentine’s Day with their student, even though parents can’t be at the celebrations in-person. Submit a Valentine’s Day message to your child and it will be shown to the class!

In our ongoing effort to improve the safety of our students and staff, traffic signs and a crosswalk have been added to the Logistics Drive parking lot.

Parent-teacher conferences will be held from February 1st - 11th. Classroom teachers will conduct conferences via Zoom. Teachers will create Sign Up Genius links and share them with students’ parents.

Third through fifth grade students receive academic recognition for making honor roll. By January 22nd, parents of students receiving recognition will receive an email with an honor roll certificate.

Be sure to turn in your Box Tops in order for them to be counted this quarter! Our school has received many benefits from Box Top funds, including purchasing a laminator.

Believe it or not, it’s time to start thinking about middle school! All current 5th grade students and their families are invited to attend our Middle School Parent Information Webinar on Wednesday, January 13, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. via Zoom.

We are so proud of our staff and students for continuing to follow safety protocols that enable us to stay in school. To celebrate our efforts, staff and students are invited to come to school dressed in their holiday pajamas on Wednesday, December 16th!

Windsor Charter Academy is spreading holiday cheer to children in need in our community! We are collecting donations to Santa Cops, a non-profit organization where law enforcement officers deliver presents to children in need.

Our elementary school parents have generous hearts! Many of you have asked for our teacher and staff “List of Favorite Things!” The Parent-Teacher Club assembled lists for all of our elementary school staff. We hope you find these lists helpful now and throughout the rest of the school year!

The last day of the second quarter is December 18th. Parents will be able to view and print their child's second quarter report card from Infinite Campus Parent starting on January 8th.

Student Council is excited to launch their annual Holiday Food Drive! In years past, WCA families have generously donated food to help those in need during the holiday season! From December 7th through December 16th, students are asked to bring a can of food.

Windsor Charter Academy elementary school students voted for their 2020-2021 Student Council members! Congratulations to our 5th grade students who were elected to the Student Council body!

Thank you to our Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) and to all of our Firebird families who participated in our “Giving Thanks” initiative showing gratitude towards our staff!

The Math Department is pleased to invite our students to participate in our math student-tutor program! Students from kindergarten through 10th grade (or through Algebra 2) are eligible to participate in this program.

The Technology Department is selling two FUYL Tower 15 Charging Lockers. The FUYL Tower 15 is an Intelligent Asset Management System that charges, stores, secures and manages assets for most mobile devices in 15 individually lockable compartments.

Colorado weather can change quickly! The weather and temperature are monitored throughout the school day to determine if extreme weather conditions are forecasted.
