We would like to supply our students with free feminine products in our restrooms. If you are able to donate tampons or pads, please drop these off at the front office.

Are you interested in volunteering at our middle school? We have made it easier than ever for families to sign up to volunteer! Our school now has a master Sign Up Genius Form where we will post a variety of volunteer opportunities that are available each week.

Students who join Art Club are able to dive further into art-making! Since core art classes are only available to students for half the year, Art Club provides all students an opportunity to continue to explore various materials, develop their own style, learn about different artists, or try new media.

Is your student interested in engineering, design, building, or programming? We invite all middle and high school students to participate in VEX Robotics! Windsor Charter Academy’s award-winning VEX Robotics program was established 5 years ago and our teams have qualified for the state competition every year.

Please check your mail! Your child’s Colorado Measures of Academic Success (CMAS) data from spring 2022 will be mailed to families in the coming days.

Students are allowed to bring backpacks, string bags, purses, and lunch boxes to school. These bags must be placed in student lockers at the start of the school day.

Students are welcome to wear college t-shirts every Friday. They may also wear jeans on Fridays for $1.00. All money collected will go towards supporting activities for students. Jeans may not be frayed or have holes.

Continuing this year, students with D’s or F’s or with multiple missing assignments will be required to attend after school academic support Thursdays until 4:00 p.m. The first day of academic support will be Thursday, September 1st

We are looking forward to the Firebird Fest on May 18th! All middle school students will enjoy lunch, games, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, a dunk tank, yearbook signing, and other events!

Students will start preparing to take their finals the first week!

• May 19th: No School for 8th Grade

• May 19th: Early Dismissal for 6th & 7th Grade @ 11:04 a.m.

This year all students will be scheduled into a Multimedia Literacy elective, where they will focus on Core Knowledge content. The culminating event will be a Core Knowledge Showcase, where students will share their projects and celebrate their learning over the quarter!

Windsor Charter Academy’s Parent & Student Safety Committee hosts a variety of safety webinars throughout the year. On May 3rd, Carolyn Mader, owner of Mending Hearts Counseling, presented on “The Threat of Pornography: How to Speak to Your Teens About Porn.”

Teachers have identified students who might benefit from additional support over the summer in English Language Arts (ELA) and/or math in order to be set up for success for the 2022-2023 school year. If your student has been identified for this support you will receive an email to register.

National Junior Honor Society (NJHS) is excited to induct its newest members! The Induction Ceremony is an invitation-only event that will be held on Thursday, May 5th at 1:30 p.m.

Windsor Charter Academy’s Parent & Student Safety Committee hosts a variety of safety webinars throughout the year. On May 3rd, Carolyn Mader, owner of Mending Hearts Counseling, will be presenting “The Threat of Pornography: How to Speak to Your Teens About Porn.”

On May 18th (8th grade only) and May 19th (6th & 7th grades), all students will turn in their school-issued Chromebook and charger after their last final exam. Each Chromebook has a blue and silver inventory tag with an asset number.

Our Middle School Parent-Teacher Club (PTC) is celebrating our teachers for Teacher Appreciation Week from May 2nd through May 6th. If you are interested in bringing in an item, please sign up!

We invite our parent community to join us at our MS/HS AVID Showcase to learn more about the program and see AVID in action in our middle and high school classrooms! The AVID Showcase will be held on April 29th and has varying session times.

Windsor Charter Academy celebrates a special tradition each year at our 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony! We are asking parents/guardians to provide us with a brief paragraph with your advice for your student as they move into high school.
