Parents of 9th, 10th & 11th Graders: PSAT & SAT Testing Information and Early Release Times

This is just a reminder that all 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will take the PSAT or SAT on Wednesday, April 12th!

Important Information for Test Day

  • Students should arrive no later than 7:45 a.m. We will begin handing out test materials at 8:00 a.m. Students cannot enter the test room after testing has started.

  • Students are permitted to bring water and a snack to eat during break.

  • Students will need to bring their own calculator and #2 pencils.

  • Students will not be able to bring cell phones into the testing room.  We recommend that students not bring phones or smart watches on test day or plan to put them in their locker.

  • We encourage students to dress comfortably and confidently for test day. Feeling good equals good results!

Students will be released when their room has finished testing.  There are no classes on Wednesday following testing.  After the test, students should have a plan to leave campus immediately or after having school lunch in the cafeteria.

Please use the following test length to plan your student pick-up times:

  • Freshmen: PSAT 8/9

    • 2 hours 35 minute test length

    • Students will be done between 10:50 and 11:30 a.m.

  • Sophomores: PSAT 10

    • 2 hours 55 minute test length

    • Students done between 11:15 to 11:45 a.m.

  • Juniors: SAT

    • 3 hours and 15 minute test length

    • Students done between 11:30 a.m. and 12:15 p.m.

Please plan accordingly if your student has an extended time accommodation.
