Earlier this year, we hosted our Elementary School Character Education, Social-Emotional, and Mental Health Webinar! We wanted to share this information with our families this school year.

Our elementary school classes will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 28th! Students may come to school dressed in their Halloween costumes. We can’t wait to see all of their creative costumes!

Our 4th grade students are excited to share all they have learned during their medieval unit at their Core Knowledge Celebration! Fourth grade students will dress up in medieval clothing and experience games and food of the time period.

To celebrate the third grade Core Knowledge Rome Unit, we will be hosting Third Grade Roman Day Celebration to engage in a deeper understanding of Roman times. We invite parents to join this celebration with us through hands-on learning, games, and activities.

Our first grade students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit - Ancient Egypt! First graders have been learning about the ancient civilization of Egypt. During their celebration, they will participate in different activities that support and enrich the Core Knowledge curriculum.

Students, ages 9-12, are invited to join Clearview Library District’s “Not Your Boring Book Club!”

Vision and Hearing Screenings will be conducted on Tuesday, October 18th and Thursday, October 20th. In order to accurately test your child's vision, please make sure they have their glasses with them at school on these upcoming dates.

Our kindergarten students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit - Five Senses! Kindergarten students will have a fun Halloween celebration centered around the study of the human body. They will get to explore the five senses, the five food groups, play games, and create crafts.

The 8 Keys of Excellence Family program deepens family relationships, opens lines of communication, and provides young people with eight proven life principles. Families can register for the 8 Keys of Excellence Family Program on their website and download the Program Packet.

Elementary school parents now have Fast Passes! Parents with Fast Passes can easily show their pass to enter all of our school events. All parents will be asked to show a photo ID.

We are excited to announce that we will be partnering again with Original Works art-based fundraising! This is a chance to remember your child’s elementary years through their art in unique ways.

Windsor Charter Academy’s Cheer Team is hosting a Cheer Clinic for all elementary school students! Participants will learn more about becoming a Firebird cheerleader, meet our cheer coaches, learn cheer routines, and have an opportunity to cheer at a home game!

Our elementary school is excited to have a new Cheer Club! Participants will learn cheer routines and dances.

Students are able to eat breakfast at school between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m. Students eating breakfast at school need to be finished eating by 8:00 a.m. to go to their classrooms.

We are excited to start a new tradition at our elementary school - Friday Flowers for Teachers! The Windsor Charter Academy Organic Garden is overflowing with beautiful sunflowers. Last Friday, a team of parents and volunteers put together 35 beautiful mason-jar-filled flower arrangements that came from our organic garden.

Parents, please continue to send your students with a full water bottle daily. Students play hard during recess and get very thirsty. Our Health Office has a very limited supply of water bottles to offer when students forget their water.
