Our Elementary School Student Council announced the theme for its 2nd Quarter Spirit Day - - Twin Day! Students can celebrate friendships and kindness by coming to school dressed as a twin!

Join us for Sweets with Santa on Friday, December 3rd from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m.! Students can earn a Free Dress Day on December 10th if they bring one dozen treats to the front office between December 1st and 3rd. We are looking forward to seeing our families at this Firebird-favorite event!

WCA’s High School National Honor Society is excited to host Parents’ Night Out! Parents will have an opportunity to drop their students off for a night of games and fun while parents can sneak in some holiday shopping.

The first semester service project sponsored by the Student Council is the "The Weld County Food Drive" and will be held from November 15th through 18th! Students are asked to bring canned food and/or non-perishable items and drop them off in one of the boxes at the front east or west doors

Parents planning to eat lunch with their child will need to email the child’s teacher at least one day before so the lunch manager can be notified that additional school lunches are needed.

Our second grade students are excited to share all they have learned during their pioneer unit at their Core Knowledge Celebration! Second grade students will participate in activities that are connected to pioneer life during the Westward Expansion time in history.

Our 4th grade students are excited to share all they have learned during their medieval unit at their Core Knowledge Celebration! Fourth grade students will dress up in medieval clothing and experience games and food of the time period.

Join us on November 11th from 8:30 - 9:15 a.m. in the ES Gymnasium to celebrate our Veterans! Please enter the building through the front east door starting at 8:15 a.m. Students should wear formal dress uniform for this event.

Our elementary school needs Bird Watchers! Bird Watchers is a safety program initiated by our school to keep a watchful eye over our Firebirds. Bird Watchers are positive role models who provide an extra layer of support and security. We rely on Bird Watchers to help at large events so we can ensure our events are successful and safe.

Our WCA Elementary School Art Program have teamed up with Original Works to offer a creative program for our K-5 students! Students have spent the last several months creating artwork that can now printed on mugs, t-shirts, mouse pads, and other items.

Our elementary school classes will celebrate Halloween on Friday, October 29th! Students may come to school dressed in their Halloween costume!

To celebrate the third grade Core Knowledge Rome Unit, we will be hosting Third Grade Roman Day Celebration to engage in a deeper understanding of Roman times. We invite parents to join this celebration with us through hands-on learning, games, and activities.

Our first grade students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit - Ancient Egypt! First graders have been learning about the ancient civilization of Egypt. During their celebration, they will participate in different activities that support and enrich the Core Knowledge curriculum.

Our kindergarten students are ready to celebrate all they have learned in their Core Knowledge Unit - Five Senses! Kindergarten students will have a fun Halloween celebration centered around the study of the human body. They will get to explore the five senses, the five food groups, play games, and create crafts.

Elementary school parents now have Fast Passes! Parents with Fast Passes can easily show their pass to enter all of our school events. All parents will be asked to show a photo ID.

The 8 Keys of Excellence Family program deepens family relationships, opens lines of communication, and provides young people with eight proven life principles. Families can register for the 8 Keys of Excellence Family Program on their website and download the Program Packet.

Our Elementary School Art Club is hosting its first public showcase! For the entire month of October, our students’ art will be displayed at Windsor Lake Coffee.

Parent-Teacher Conferences will be held in classrooms from October 4th through October 14th. Please note that fall conferences are mandatory for all families.
