We want to extend our appreciation to our Firebird Families for coming out and supporting our middle school music students! The MS Concert Band, under the direction of Mr. Koster, performed several selections, including the classic "Hot Cross Buns."

The University of Northern Colorado (UNC) Math Contest is open to any middle or high school student interested in math! The first round of questions is sent to Windsor Charter Academy from UNC and administered in-house at WCA during a 2-day window.

We will be celebrating Halloween at school on Wednesday, October 30th! Students are invited to wear their costumes to school but must follow the guidelines below. This is not a Free Dress Day, so if students are not in costume, they should follow our regular dress code guidelines.

Get ready - Spirit Week is next week for our middle school students! We’ve got an exciting lineup of fun-themed days to gear up for the grand finale - our Fall Dance!

Windsor Charter Academy Middle School Theatre Club is working on its production of The Wizard of Oz! The performances will be on November 15th from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and on November 16th from 2:00 to 3:30 p.m. in the elementary school gym. Admission to the performance is $5 for WCA staff and students and $10 for the general public.

Join us for an evening of music on Tuesday, October 8th, at 5:30 p.m. for our Middle School Fall Music Concert!

Join us for our middle and high school Scholastic Book Fair! The Scholastic Book Fair will be held in the MS/HS Media Center from Tuesday, October 8th through Friday, October 11th. The Book Fair will be open before school, during lunch, and after school, until 4:00 p.m.

Our first middle school dance will be on Friday, October 18th, from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.!  Tickets will be sold for $5.00 (cash only). 

The MS Boys' Flag Football season begins on Monday, September 30th, at 3:30 p.m. Tryouts will be held on Monday, September 30th, and Tuesday, October 1st, from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. on the soccer field. Please plan on attending both tryout sessions.

Homecoming Week is September 30th through October 4th! Each year, our high school students invite all Firebirds, K-12, to participate in our school color wars. All grade levels have a school color that will stay with them through graduation.

Picture retakes will take place on Tuesday, October 15th in the morning. Formal dress is required.  Forms will be available in the front office.

Fall Parent-Teacher Conferences are approaching! These conferences will be held on Thursday, October 10th, from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. in the middle school gymnasium. Conferences are in an open-house format.

Bullying is a reality that most schools face, and there are often misconceptions about what bullying actually is. Educating ourselves and our students on the difference between conflict, a mean moment, and bullying is crucial.

Vision & Hearing Screenings will be conducted on Tuesday, October 1st, for all 7th-grade students. In order to accurately test your child's vision, please make sure they have their glasses with them at school on this day.

Windsor Charter Academy has established a Middle School Firebird News Crew! All middle school students are invited to join our team. Students will report on sports games, performing arts productions, and other after-school events!

Firebird Dress Days can occur when students celebrate their birthday, earn Honor Roll, earn a reward, score well on standardized assessments, or demonstrate the 8 Keys of Excellence in a superior way. These are not “free dress” days. Students participating in a “Firebird Dress” day should still abide by the rules outlined in our handbook.

The MS/HS AVID Site Team will be hosting an Ice Cream Social and Open House for all MS/HS AVID elective students and their parents/siblings! The event will be held in the HS Commons (Firebird Facility) from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 25th.

Our Sources of Strength (SOS) team is preparing to celebrate a year of spreading positivity across our middle school!
