As a reminder, all middle school students are required to complete community service hours:

• 6th Grade: 10 hours

• 7th Grade: 15 hours

• 8th Grade: 20 hours

Get ready for a fun-filled High School Spirit Night on May 8th from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.! All current WCA 8th–12th graders are invited to attend.

Please join us on Thursday, May 7th, for the final MS/HS Music Concert & Art Show of the season, held in the Firebird Facility. 

We are looking forward to celebrating our 8th-grade students on Wednesday, May 20th! Our 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony will begin at 5:30 p.m. Students should arrive at 4:45 p.m., and the doors will open to the public at 5:00 p.m.

On Wednesday, May 20th, our 8th-grade class will celebrate the end of middle school with a Continuation Ceremony, followed by a dinner and dance.  It has been a tradition for 6th- and 7th-grade families to help with this event so that 8th-grade families can attend the Continuation Ceremony. We are looking forward to the Firebird Fest on May 20th! All middle school students will enjoy games, inflatable slides, obstacle courses, a dunk tank, yearbook signing, and other events! 

Middle school students will have review sessions and take their final exams in May. The full end-of-year schedule is listed below.

From April 28 through May 1, middle school students will celebrate Wish Week! Through a variety of activities this year, students have been raising funds for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.

On May 20th (8th grade only) and May 21st (6th & 7th grades), all students will turn in their school-issued Chromebook and charger after their last final exam.  Each Chromebook has a blue and silver inventory tag with an asset number.

Order your yearbook today! Make sure that your student doesn’t miss out on our yearbook tradition. It’s the only book that captures the year’s events, activities, friendships, experiences, and memories!

During Firebird Fest, we serve lunch to all middle and high school teachers and staff! We will purchase sandwiches for all staff members, but we are requesting our families to donate side items or drinks.

In preparation for 8th Grade Continuation, we need pictures of 8th-grade students for their continuation video! One of the best elements of the 8th Grade Continuation Ceremony is the slideshow displaying pictures of our 8th graders at various stages of their childhood.
