No Parking: Red zones are designated no-parking areas. Parking will be enforced by the Windsor Police Department.

Drop-Off & Pick-Up Procedures

All parents must enter on Firebird Way. Families have the option of dropping off or picking up their students in one of two locations:

  • Blue Lane: Students can exit or enter their vehicle from the sidewalk in the blue lane. Students should not enter the vehicle from the driver's side.

  • Short-Term Parking Area: Students can be dropped off and picked up in our short-term parking zone. We highly encourage families to use this option for quicker access and to relieve congestion on Automation Drive.

During pick-up, drivers can park in the new student parking lot if the short-term parking lot is full.

Please communicate with your student whether they will be regularly picked up in the blue lane or in the designated short-term parking area in front of the building.

Please Note:

  • There are no staggered pick-up times for middle and high school students. Middle and high school families do not use the Driveline Dispatch System; Driveline is only at the elementary school.

  • All areas marked in red are designated no-parking zones. The Windsor Police Department will be monitoring this area and ticketing drivers who violate the parking rules.

Families with Students at both school buildings

In order to minimize traffic congestion during pick up, we ask families with students in both buildings to follow the pick-up process.

  • Elementary school students should be picked up first at their designated pick-up location beginning at 3:15 p.m.

  • Families will then travel to the middle/high school to pick up their student.

Important reminders for all drivers

We ask all drivers to the the following requests:

  • Use your designated pick-up and drop-off location as outlined in our maps.

  • Stay in your vehicle at all times. Do not park your car and walk your student into the building.

  • Drop-off lines are meant to continually move. Pull all the way forward before letting your student get in or out of your vehicle.

  • Students will always enter or exit a vehicle from the sidewalk. Students should not walk around the vehicle into the street.

  • Please come at your designated pick-up time. By coming early, traffic flow is negatively impacted.

  • Do not make a U-turn at anytime. By following our designated routes, drivers should never have to make a U-turn.

Model Courteous Behavior

  • Do not park in designated staff parking lots or at surrounding private businesses, including at Snaptron or Future Legends Sports Complex.

  • Do not talk on your cell phones while driving to ensure the safety of all our students.

  • Utilize a crosswalk at all times. Encourage your student to do the same.

  • Drivers should remain in line and not cut in front of others.

As always, please remember that safety comes first and foremost!

Walking or Biking Between Schools

To help increase safety for students walking to and from the schools, safe walk routes have been designated. The safest route to walk between the elementary school and the middle/high school is by using the sidewalks along Automation Drive and Garden Drive. There will be a morning and afternoon crossing guard at the intersection of Automation and Garden Drive.
