Experts estimate that one in five students in American schools will struggle with a mental health disorder at some point by adolescence. Students without emotional or mental disorders such as these can still have outbursts and moments of agitation due to many factors such as frustration, bullying, peer pressure, struggles with academics, or difficulty in relationships with peers and/or teachers. This class will teach several research-based verbal and body language techniques for de-escalating students who may become agitated due to these or other factors. Learn how to calm an upset student and get them and your class back on track for learning and success.
