We are excited that you are interested in joining our Windsor Charter Academy family!

Our elementary school is an award-winning tuition-free K-12 public school (tuition-free, with the exception of full-day full-time kindergarten).

As a core knowledge school, our students receive a content-rich and engaging education, focusing on language arts, mathematics, science, history, geography, fine arts, and physical education.

We also believe in growing the whole child, which is why we invest in character education through the The Eight Keys of Excellence and our AVID Program.

We have an active and vibrant community. Get to know us by exploring more about what we offer:

Elementary School Tours

Interested in learning more? Come take a tour of our school and see our students, staff, and administration in action!  We offer tours on the 2nd Wednesday of each month. There are ten tour slots available per month and will re-open each month.

Can’t make it on a Wednesday? Please get in touch and we will set up a tour at a time that works best for you.

Our Enrollment & Lottery Process

We’ve offered a simple outline of our enrollment and lottery process below, but for more details about each of these steps, please see our official Enrollment Policy.

Step 1: Make sure you meet the District Residency Requirements.

  • District Residency: Enrollment is open to any child who resides inside or outside of the Weld County RE-4 School District. Non-district resident students may be accepted for enrollment only after all resident students on the waiting list for the same grade have been offered a position.

Step 2: Complete and Submit your Letter of Intent.

Step 3: Participate in the Lottery

  • Our enrollment lottery takes place every January to prepare for the academic school year starting every August. Students are entered into the lottery only if they have filled out and submitted a Letter of Intent.

Step 4: Position Offering

  • If your child is selected, you will receive a phone call and an email offering your child a position at the school.

Dress Code

At WCA, we strive to make academics the primary focus of our students by limiting distractions as much as possible.  It is our goal that all WCA students maintain their person and clothing in a modest, clean, and orderly manner consistent with the school uniform dress code.  Please review the dress code policy relative to your child's grade level and our official Dress Code Policy.

We appreciate the family-feel of Windsor Charter Academy, and doubled with their academic excellence, we don’t want to send our child anywhere else.
